KNA is fortunate to have an excellent pool of experienced senior umpires and a large, enthusiastic group of junior umpires. The strength of KNA umpiring is undoubted with many of our team umpiring at the most senior levels at State League, Night Inter-District, State Championships, State Age Championships and numerous other competitions including the NSW School Girls Championships.
I was very pleased with the general standard of umpiring throughout the season. In particular, a number of our new juniors were identified as outstanding prospects. In 2009, 178 district badges were awarded along with 5 new C badges and 5 new B badges.
This year KNA was fortunate to have 2 of it’s ‘A’ badge umpires selected for the Umpires Operations Panel at NNSW – Alan Melville and Allison Gill and we congratulate them on this wonderful achievement.
I wish to thank my Committee once again for their unstinting support, knowledge, enthusiasm and experience. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Belinda Robson and Brenda Williams for their help and guidance throughout the 2009 season.
I look forward to joining you to meet the challenges of delivering a high quality umpirining program in 2010.
